Blogging in 2020
Who'd ever thought that 2020 was going to be such a challenging year...
With an ongoing pandemic and health crisis, the world has become a dangerous place and thus, people is confined at their homes (some with more luck than others...). What will the future bring? I'm neither a health professional nor an economist, but I like to focus in the present and ask myself what is happening now. Some people do more sport than others, some binge-watch streaming content and some others cook, connect with the loved ones, work from home, study, etc. According to Forbes, internet use has been pushed up to 70%, and that applies to blogs as well: I saw myself suddenly browsing webs and sites that I never saw before because of my new routines.
This year, I decided to start some important things: a business (crazy right?), an online diploma, a fitness routine, cooking (I am still a complete disaster) and writing this blog. Both my business and my blog will be about the events industry, that is one of the most uncertain sectors in regards of their future, but also one of my passions and things I love to talk about.
Blogging in 2020 is needed, both for the writers that need to express themselves through different channels to connect to their audience with a story, and also for the readers, that need to be entertained, keep informed and stay connected to the others. These are going to be the objectives of my content here as well
Welcome to my new adventure!

ResponderEliminarGreat first post!
You seem very focused on the present which is great. And the fact that you're starting a business is admirable! Can't wait to hear more about this journey you're going on. I previously worked in events, mainly all the major festivals in Ireland for a few years, great fun and totally rewarding. You are so right though, it is an uncertain sector at the minute due to the current outbreak and restrictions, but hopefully when all this blows over there will be a big demand for more well organised events. If you have any questions about the festival side of things let me know, I'd be happy to help anyway I can.
"Blogging in 2020 is needed, both for the writers that need to express themselves through different channels to connect to their audience with a story, and also for the readers, that need to be entertained, keep informed and stay connected to the others." Very well put. I'd love to see some photos in your future blogs, but over all great first post!
Stay well!
Jonathan

Hi Julia - I related to this a lot! I have a lot of the same goals while at home all of the time (as hard as it is to keep motivated some days) - great work!

Wow a business, I love it!
I have always wanted to start up a business myself, Id be very intrest in reading your journey about the business and what you had to go through. What Fitness Routine have you started, I have started Yoga myself this week.
Hi Glen! It's a very humble project I'm starting, and without a lot of risk (almost no initial investment yet) but glad that you're interested, I'll keep you posted :)
EliminarIn terms of fitness routines: I do a 30 min "WOD" determined by a Spanish fitness trainer called Magali, and if the weather is good I may go out for a quick run once in a while.
never tried Yoga, would you recommend it now that you've started?
Best,
