According to Moz [1], SEO stands for  Search Engine Optimization , which is the practice of increasing the  quantity  and  quality  of traffic to your website through  organic search engine results . I chose this definition because It was the first to appear in my search (after an Ad, considered SEM). Why is SEO so important? I’d say one of the main reasons is that, according to different studies among diverse institutions, the first 5 results of a search, get the 70-80% of the clicks, so you better have a good strategy to show your product/service there! As opposite as SEM, SEO “can’t be payed” as itself, but you can hire a SEO Agency once in a while or Hire a SEO Specialist on your company team. This last option has become popular over the last years, so if your value proposition needs to be told mainly by the web channel, of if you own a B2C E-commerce, you may want to consider it. According to LinkedIn Job Board, if you are a SEO expert,...

User Experience (UX) focuses on having a deep understanding of users, what they need, what they value, their abilities and also their intentions [1] behind this science, there's the concept of Wireframing, or creating a visual draft of the organization of a page before the creative phase gets under way.  Through their Website layout a company can show its value proposition, and define a call to action to interact with its customers. Taking a look at the e-commerce industry, Wireframing is an art, and through global or local trends, you can get reliable data on which distributions to use in your website for more conversions when a customer is in.  Talking about trends, did you know that, according to a Hubspot study, the best color to display a "buy" call to action is Red? [2] Apparently the battle in the E-Commerce ecosystem is between the color of passion and Green, although there we have Amazon with its Orange empire playing in another league. A la...

This week I'll be stepping a bit aside the "Events bubble" to focus on a SOSTAC Review to an Online Confectionary Start-up. I think that we learn from doing, so it's really important to pay attention to details so we can apply the knowledge in the future. From a UX perspective, she took advantage of the good looking sweets so it's an article that you want to read, although there's a chart and a Salesforce report that are too small for the reader.  In terms of content, and by a humble and non-expert perspective, Michelle has done an amazing work clarifying the situation and making the reader understand the WHY. As she says: "Sweet treats and everything sugar is as popular as ever" and she explain us the HOW by applying her digital knowledge to sell a very traditional product. I love the way she wants to stand out of competition not only in product, but also in Strategy, creating a better Costumer experience on the website and Social Media, as...

Our Customer Persona

The Spanish word “Lío” has a big range of meanings and possibilities of use in my native language. Some of them are: mess, tangle, bundle, hassle, mix-up, fuss… and many others, and we want to leave that ambiguity for our customers. We want them to be more creative than ever in their ideas and plans, both personal and in the corporate world. We want them to experience the most emblematic and iconic events ever, from a crazy wedding to an unreal team event, a well-prepared, detail-oriented and super successful “mess”, that’s what we aim to to do at “Lío Padre”. We don’t want to limit our audience to anyone, but creating our project, we supposed that we would be addressed to 2 different personas: 1.      Our corporate target: Let’s call him Marcos López , a successful serial entrepreneur, founder, advisor and something-officer. Let’s say he leads a company and likes to disrupt things such as technology and his company culture. It is SO hard to hire and retain ...
