Our Customer Persona
The Spanish word “Lío” has a big range of meanings and possibilities of use in my native language. Some of them are: mess, tangle, bundle, hassle, mix-up, fuss… and many others, and we want to leave that ambiguity for our customers. We want them to be more creative than ever in their ideas and plans, both personal and in the corporate world.
We want them to experience the most emblematic and iconic events ever, from a crazy wedding to an unreal team event, a well-prepared, detail-oriented and super successful “mess”, that’s what we aim to to do at “Lío Padre”. We don’t want to limit our audience to anyone, but creating our project, we supposed that we would be addressed to 2 different personas:
1. Our corporate target: Let’s call him Marcos López, a successful serial entrepreneur, founder, advisor and something-officer. Let’s say he leads a company and likes to disrupt things such as technology and his company culture. It is SO hard to hire and retain in Barcelona that he needs to have an Employer Experience so Awesome that appears in LinkedIn hashtags every week. And that’s when he’s going to call us, because, honestly, the stack in their company is great & lean & agile…. but really similar to others. Marcos has in top of mind to create Employer Events once per Quarter, but doesn’t have a remote idea to do a single one… and don’t have the resources or team to organize them…That’s where he visits our Blog/web and falls in love with what we do… the rest is history!
2. We will be speaking about our second type of persona another day, as it opens the whole range of B2C events we want to perform, but giving a little clue… they are young, they like breaking the norm... and they want to get married ;)

Completely agreed that no businesses want to limit there audience. Learnt a new Spanish word "Lio " ,thank you :)

EliminarHola Julia!
ResponderEliminarLío - what a great word. Spanish is so much more interesting than English! I am really intrigued by the type of events you're going to manage and your insights regarding working life in Barcelona...I didn't realise it is so hard to retain staff there. Is it an employee's market, then? Your reference to LinkedIn hashtags is v. funny - I guess the rumours are true - for success, it is crucial for job seekers and employers to get the right buzz words on their LI profile?
Looking forward to the next one. It'd also be interesting to see a hypothetical process of how you'd go about arranging one of your events.
Adiós!
Thanks Ciara, it's so funny to explain that many meanings to english-speakers, I'll introduce you to more words in the upcoming weeks :) Barcelona is a big Tech Hub so It's a hard for all kinds of companies to attract and retain talent indeed.. the turnover is high.. competition is fierce etc.
EliminarDefinitely, the secret sauce of LinkedIn is the AI behind keywords and tags, so I'd encourage you to use them wisely. You can ping me for tips if you need them, of course, anytime.
You'll see, by the way, the kind of events and process into them very soon ;)
Adiós :D
Cool post. It's nice to learn something new and see some examples of these personas and how your business targets different groups. Excited to see more from Lío Padre and yourself Julia! I love Barcelona! Amazing city! Peace!
ResponderEliminarThank you Jonathan! Really looking forward to write more about this and Barcelona, and also looking forward to reading from you as well :)
EliminarBest,
